Ahhh genetics problems!

I'm not sure what to do for questions 6, 7 and 9. I know we went through 7 in class, but I didn't write it down. DOH! Question 3, I have half the work and I can't figure out how to find out the sex of the children. Anyway, I'm not really quite sure where to start on any of those problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. To find out the sex of the children you can do a Punnet square with XX (from mom) and XY (from dad). The result is 2 XX and 2 XY.

For 6 - I think that each parent can produce only one gamete each (BR for one parent and br for the other parent). When you cross those you would get BbRr. The F1 offspring could produce 4 different gametes each (BR,Br, bR, br). There would be 16 squares needed for the F2 generation. So you can do a Punnent Square crossing BR, Br, bR, br (across the top) and BR, Br, bR, br (down the side). The results in each box will have four letters (BBRR, BBRr, BbRR, etc.)

I hope this is right and it helps you.
